GFS Showing Severe Weather Thursday!

Been waiting to see what the trough was going to do after the 180 hour model, checked it this morning and it looks like we may have our first march chase on the Plains Thursday the 5th. Possible Isolated cell, not sure about the wind shear yet but the conditions will be sufficient. Would like to see an isolated event so we can do our Aircraft Research. More to come as the days close in but here is to the season coming fast!

Yeah, what's going on with the whole aircraft research thing? You've been pretty quiet. You can PM/e-mail me if you want.

Sat Mar 7th and Sunday also look good if the GFS can verify. Sunday might be a blizzard back in CO so watch the trip back!

Ya, the models have changed a bit I think Vernes Right its going to be further out. That trough looks awesome coming in. Ya I noticed that snow potiential as well. The aircraft research will be to create operation plans for manned aircraft for atmospheric research around isolated events. In cooperation with Vortex 2 to gather data and video. Discovery may send a camera guy on a few missions, thats not locked. So if you guys see an aircraft around an isolated supercell this year then theres a chance it may be us!
